Science Day is celebrated on 28th February every year in our country. The main objective of celebrating Science Day is to create awareness and interest in science among the students.
World Science Day is celebrated on November 10 all over the world including India. So thats why it called World Science Day. And The World Science Day represents Peace and Development. Many seminars and programs on science are organized all over the world on this day. People are taught the importance and benefits of science, knowledge of how to make good use of science.
Every day new discoveries have made it possible for a man to simplify his life. Everything that scientists have discovered so far has been made possible by advances in science. Man has reached space only with the help of science.
Science has made it possible to make robots, computers. Science makes a very important contribution to our lives, many great scientists have passed away in our country. It is the contribution of these great scientists that have made India a distinct identity in the world today.
Science Day is celebrated every year by students, teachers, various institutions, schools-colleges, and scientists. The other reason for celebrating this day instead of honoring Dr. Chandrasekhar Raman is to create awareness among the people about science and to explain the importance of science to the coming generation.
On this day, students make and display various science projects in schools and colleges. At the same time, national and state science institutes show their findings. On this day, the importance of science is explained through media like public speeches, TV, radio, science-based movies, etc.
Science Day is celebrated on 28th February every year in our country. On February 28, 1928, the Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkataraman made the scientific discovery of the Raman effect in Calcutta.
He was the first Indian to make this discovery in the field of science. Dr. Chandrasekhar Raman was born into a Tamil Brahmin family. From 1960 to 1933 Dr. C. V. Raman worked in the Indian Association of the Cultivation of Science. During this time he made many new discoveries. Of which his discovery of the 'Raman effect' was special.
He was awarded many prizes for his work. In 1930 Dr. C. V. Raman was awarded the prectigious Nobel Prize. In honor of his work, National Science Day is celebrated on February 28 every year in India.
On this day more and more students are motivated to pursue their careers in science.
So friends, on this day of science, we have to resolve that we will always make good use of science and everybody contributes to the progress of our country.
